Handyman Services in Huddersfield

Here's an overview of the work we take on, from small repairs and flat-pack assembly to painting, outdoor fixes and landlord maintenance. Choose a service to read more, or send us your whole list of jobs.

General Handyman & Odd Jobs

Shelves to put up, a blind to fit, a mirror still leaning against the wall: this is the everyday fixing and fitting we help with around Huddersfield. Tell us what needs doing and send a photo or two.

Flat-Pack Furniture Assembly

New wardrobe still in its boxes? We build flat-pack furniture in homes, rentals and offices around Huddersfield, following the maker's instructions and fixing tall pieces to the wall where that's needed.

Home Maintenance & Repairs

Doors that stick, hinges that sag and draughts that find their way in each winter. We sort out the small faults that wear a home down, for homeowners, tenants and landlords across Huddersfield.

Painting & Decorating

A scuffed hallway, a bedroom ready for a new colour, skirting boards that need a fresh coat. We take on interior painting and the preparation behind it for homes and rental properties around Huddersfield.

Kitchen & Bathroom Small Jobs

Mouldy sealant round the bath, a towel rail that's come loose, grout crumbling behind the sink. We handle the small, non-plumbing jobs that keep kitchens and bathrooms clean and watertight around Huddersfield.

Outdoor Repairs

A gate that drags on the path, a fence panel loosened by the wind, a shed door that won't shut. We repair and look after garden timber for homes, rentals and small premises around Huddersfield.

Landlord & Rental Maintenance

A list of small jobs before the next tenant moves in, or a few repairs reported mid-tenancy. We help landlords and letting agents around Huddersfield get rental properties sorted, with access and keys arranged in advance.

Choosing the right service

You don't need to work out which category your job belongs to before getting in touch. The service pages give you an idea of what each one covers, but plenty of jobs overlap. A loose bannister, a sticking door and a shelf to put up all count as general handyman work, while freshening up a hallway falls under painting and decorating.

Mixed lists are welcome

Many requests are a mix: a wardrobe to assemble, a bath to reseal and a gate that won't latch. Put everything in one request with a photo of each job and we'll quote them together, which usually means fewer visits. Landlords and letting agents can do the same with rental property maintenance, whether that's one property or several.

What we pass to other trades

Some work needs a specialist. Gas work of any kind, electrical installation and plumbing beyond very minor tasks are passed to suitably qualified, registered trades. Wall-mounting a TV is subject to the wall being suitable. If anything on your list falls outside what we do, we'll tell you when we quote so you can book the right person, and we can still look at the rest.

Next steps

Have a look at how pricing works, then tell us about the job with a few photos and your postcode. We'll confirm whether it's a job we can take on and send you a quote before anything is booked.

Frequently asked questions

Which service should I choose if my job fits more than one?

Choose whichever seems closest, or simply pick general handyman work. The category doesn't change how we quote. What matters is a clear description, a few photos and your postcode, so we can understand the job and confirm whether it's one we can take on.

Can I book just one small job?

Yes, you can request a quote for a single job. If you have other small tasks around the house, it's worth listing them at the same time, because several jobs in one visit usually make better use of the time than separate visits for each.

Can you mount a TV or a heavy mirror?

Often, subject to the wall being suitable. Plasterboard, lath and plaster and solid stone walls all need different fixings, and some walls aren't suitable for heavy items at all. Send a photo of the wall with the item's size and weight, and we'll let you know. Moving or adding sockets is a job for an electrician.

What if I'm not sure whether you do my job?

Describe it on the quote form. We'll look at it and tell you honestly whether it's one we can take on. If it needs a different trade, such as a gas engineer, an electrician or a plumber, we'll say so, so you can find the right person.
